The vision of a Baltimore nonpublic school student to unite across the City in music was realized on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, when the choir from his school, the Krieger Schechter School — a Jewish day school — joined voices with the famous choir from the Catholic Cardinal Shehan School for a special concert on The View.
Both schools, located in Baltimore, participate in the Maryland BOOST Scholarship program.
The daytime television show invited the two choirs to perform together on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day with singer Billy Porter, who joined the choirs to sing John Lennon's iconic hit "Imagine." The students also performed Diana Ross' "Reach Out and Touch Somebody's Hand."
